Assistant Secretary of the Evatt Foundation

Erin currently works at United Voice NSW as the ‘Power Savers’ Coordinator, on a low-income Energy Efficiency Program aimed at trialling ways to engage low-income households in energy efficiency.

​

She is also the National Secretary of the Labor Environment Action Network (LEAN) which works to influence policies of the ALP to support strong action on climate change and the environment. 

​

Erin is interested in policy development and ensuring that policy decisions are equitable, environmentally-friendly and in the interest of nation-building. She is a strong feminist, and is interested in a range of public policy areas from environment and infrastructure, to health, education and economics. 

​

Previously Erin has worked with the Hon. Luke Foley MP when he was Shadow Minister for Planning and Environment, as well as at the Federal Department of Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy.

​

Erin holds a Bachelor of Political, Economic and Social Sciences (Honours) from the University of Sydney. For her honours project she majored in Government and International Relations and wrote a thesis on how resource-endowed countries are dealing with the climate crisis.

​

Erin was first elected to the Evatt Executive in 2014, was elected Secretary in 2017, and then stood down following her move to Canberra to take up an appointment with the ALP.
