Ron Dyer

Ron is a former Member (Australian Labor Party) of the Legislative Council in the Parliament of New South Wales, a position he held from 1979 to 2003. He was also the Chair of the NSW Parliamentary Standing Committee on Law and Justice; Chair of the NSW Attorney-General's Caucus Committee; and a Member of the Council of Macquarie University.

Ron served in the New South Wales Government as the Minister for Public Works and Services from 1997 until 1999, and as the Minister for Community Services, Aged Services and Disability Services from 1995 until 1997. He also served as a member of the Australian Labor Party's (NSW Branch) Administration Committee from 1978 to 1989, as Secretary of NSW State Parliament Group of Amnesty International from 1992 to 1995, and on the Legislation Council of the University of Newcastle from 1982 until 1988.
