The Evatt Foundation is not affiliated with any political party. Many of our members are also members of the Australian Labor Party, obviously because it is also part of the labour movement, but there is no formal affiliation. We have members who are members of other political parties, members who are not members of any political party and members who do not tell us whether they are members of a political party.

The Evatt Foundation is not affiliated with any trade union. Many of our members are also members of trade unions and many trade unions are members of the Evatt Foundation, obviously because trade unions are part of the labour movement, but there is no formal affiliation. We have members who are not members of trade unions, there are trade unions who are not members of the Evatt Foundation, and we have members who do not tell us whether they are members of a trade union.

The Executive Committee has three sub-committees:

  • Democracy and Human Rights Committee (convened by Ron Dyer)
  • Economics Committee (convened by Richard Gartrell)
  • International Relations Committee (convened by Mel Gatfield)

All members are invited to express an interest in joining the committee that most aligns with their priorities.
