Sian P. Ryan

Assistant Secretary of the Evatt Foundation

Sian is a labour lawyer with law firm Turner Freeman. A Senior Associate, she is particularly interested in employment law, discrimination and industrial relations. Sian is passionate about access to justice for all and believes in the law as a means of achieving fairness and equity. She is an advocate for the rights of women at work and conducts litigation in the areas of sexual harassment, pregnancy discrimination and the ongoing battle to balance work and family responsibilities.

Her family has a long and proud connection to the labour movement and Sian has always supported the right of working people to organise collectively. She has degrees in Arts and Law from Sydney University and was elected the Assistant Secretary of the Evatt Foundation in 2009.
