Why should you join the Evatt Foundation?

The Evatt Foundation is a non-profit organisation uniquely dedicated to furthering the ideals of the Australian labour movement: social justice, equality, participation and human rights.

We aim to enrich the public debate on important and controversial issues through our public events, publications and website, which feature ideas, opinions, research and analyses of interest to the labour movement and its supporters.

The Evatt Foundation is an independent body, affiliated with the University of Sydney. We are not affiliated with any political party or corporation. Nor do we receive any government or corporate grants. Our website carries no paid advertising. We rely on the support of our members and friends. By becoming a member, you will be supporting the Australian and international labour movements.

By becoming a member, you will have opportunities to participate in guiding the direction of the Foundation. Members are entitled to join the Foundation's Sub-Committees, to attend Annual General Meetings, to vote in Evatt elections and to nominate for office. While the Foundation reserves full rights to decide what to publish on its website, contributions and suggestions by members are given priority attention. Wherever practical, members receive discounts on Evatt events and publications.
