Evatt Newsletter #18 - December 2003

19 December 2003

Best wishes for the season to all our members and readers.

The next full Evatt Newsletter will be published in January 2004. In the meantime, new material continues to be published on our site, including summary and background information on the 10th anniversary issue of our annual assessment of Australia's sub-national governments, The State of the States 2003.
http://evatt.org.au/news/274.html.

Released earlier this month, this special anniversary issue is a 100 page document, containing additional reports on the state of privatisation (including PPPs), child protection and corrective services. We will also publish the papers from our recent breakfast seminar on PPPs for the next Evatt Newsletter, along with much much more.

Next year promises to be one of the biggest political years in recent history, with crucial elections in Australia and the US. The Evatt Foundation will be there with you all the way. But first, a pause. The executive and staff of the Foundation wish everyone the best of the season, and hope for the peace we have all been praying and working so hard for in the New Year.
