About the Event
The Bruce Childs Lecture is an annual event hosted by the NSW Left dedicated to building a culture of ideas within NSW Labor.
In 2016 we are very pleased to announce that Van Badham, one of Australia’s pre-eminent progressive thinkers and commentators, will be coming to Sydney on Thursday 8 December to deliver the Bruce Childs Lecture at the Trades Hall Auditorium.
Van is a writer and regular columnist at The Guardian, she is a campaign strategist, social commentator and leading feminist voice. This will no doubt be a thought-provoking, funny and inspiring speech.
This event is free of charge and open to all ALP members. The NSW Left Christmas Drinks will follow the Lecture in the Trades Hall Atrium. 2016 has been a year of wins, losses and almosts for progressives in Australia and around the world – come and share a drink and toast to a brighter 2017.
We hope to see you there.
